361 The Gates

Today I am dedicating my post to the #tbt fad. Within the first month of living here, I got to check out Christo and Jeanne Claude’s The Gates. It was my first time viewing a site specific work by a well-known artist or artists. My friend, whom I call #1, accompanied me to Central Park, and I recall we had a great afternoon checking out the saffron-colored installation. I am sure tons of people hated it, as New Yorkers tend to do, but I thought it brightened up a wintry Central Park.
