263 The first rule of callbacks is: you do not talk about callbacks.

I have always had this irrational fear that if I openly spoke about my callbacks, I wouldn’t get the gig. My grandmother was very superstitious, and maybe it stems from there, but I can’t bring myself to do it. Other actors seem to have no issues with talking about callbacks on social media or in person, and I always cringe and think, “Don’t jinx yourself!”

It’s silly, I know.

What do you do when you are the process of snagging the job? Even non-theater folk…  Do you tell or do you keep quiet til you have the contract?
