There is a dent in my upper left thigh that I noticed after living in NYC for about a year. The dent is 5 inches wide and 1/8 of an inch deep. It is in the same place where my leg hits the rotating bar when I go through the turnstile to enter and exit the subway. I rarely ever use my hands to move the turnstile, so I believe years of smacking my left leg against the turnstile has permanently dented my leg.
I wonder if I ever left NYC and lived a turnstile free life, if my thigh dent would go away, or if it has become a permanent fixture?
Nothing like being permanently branded by the MTA.
