134 Restaurant Week – Kati Rolls

I really dig Indian food. I didn’t grow up with it, but when I moved to NYC I tried it for the first time and couldn’t get enough of it.


Andy and I eat a lot of dosas, but one day at my previous job, a co-worker from India was talking about Indian food in NYC. He asked if I had ever had a Kati Roll. I had not, so I asked him to tell me more.

A Kati Roll is  spicy mixture of meat and vegetables rolled in Indian flat-bread. He suggested a place called The Kati Roll Company, so Andy and I checked it out.

First, we were the only non-Indian patrons in the restaurant, so we knew it was legit. And when we tried our Kati Rolls, they were amazing. Spicy, tangy, curried goodness in a soft buttery flat-bread. mmmmmmm.

I fell in love with Kati Rolls, and if you are living in NYC or just visiting, you should give them a try.
