83 Lazy Sunday Confessions – I’m Not Sure How I Lived Without It

There are two things I have had the past 2 years, that I’m not sure how I lived without for the previous 8 years:

1. A laundry room in my apartment building.

2. An elevator in my apartment building.

After living on the 4th floor of a walk-up for three years, and always having to dress appropriately to take my laundry to the Laundromat for 8 years, I am in HEAVEN.

I am doing my laundry as I write this, sitting in my living room in an 19-year-old tie-dyed t-shirt and yoga pants. I am drinking coffee and watching Sunday Morning as my laundry is spinning 4 floors below. In 40 minutes I will take the elevator down to the basement, as it’s the only way to get there, and wheel my 30 pounds of laundry back into the elevator and into my apartment with ease.

I don’t know how I lived without these things for so long, and I am so very grateful that I can now enjoy these simple pleasures.

I really had no idea what I was missing.
