Love the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, but can’t imagine getting up that early to fight the crowds? There’s a remedy for you!
Head to Columbus Avenue and 79th Street today between 3:00pm and 10:00pm (if the weather ever clears), to watch the balloons being blown up for the parade. It takes about an hour to walk through the grounds of The Museum of Natural History, but it’s worth it. The balloons are at ground level and you can get close to these fun iconic balloons.
There are a lot of pushy parents and screaming children, but anything surrounding the parade involves both of those things. So grab a hot chocolate, take a walk around the grounds of the museum, and get into the Thanksgiving/Holiday spirit.
