Someone leaves a can of this brand of nutrition drink at the subway station every morning during the work week. I often thought it was a case of trash being abandoned for days before being picked up by the MTA staff, but after I realized the color of the label changed on a daily basis, I realized it was a daily littering habit.
The person leaving the can behind shares the habit that I have of waiting for the train at the same spot on the platform every day, so I catch the gift of trash every morning.
I hate the litter but I enjoy the consistency. It makes me feel more connected to my fellow straphangers.
